This study will establish the most superior method between social networking and the traditional word-of-mouth. There are many challenges posed from the implementation of each method, and these challenges will be covered in the research as the problems faced in their applications. Keller (2007) noted that electronic word of mouth requires less cost in overcoming consumers resistance as compared to the traditional marketing efforts. Traditional marketing strategies are more costly and time-consuming as an employee will have to be sent to different places to either collect or deliver information on a service or a product. The study will, therefore, demonstrate the best method to be used in reaching the potential customers. It will enlighten the management team on why it should incorporate such a method. Since it has been observed that there is an increased participation of employees and consumers on social media; posing greater challenges especially for the management to control their employees for it, this study will give insights for the management team to generate a useful idea out of this instead of trying to ban its use. The management will, therefore, benefit much from this study. Consumers will also benefit in that if the management incorporates the use of electronic word-of-mouth, information about services and products will be readily and easily accessible. Expected Research Outcome Many stakeholders will find out the significance of this study. In the department of human resource, the professionals in charge through the understanding of the association that will be portrayed in this study will gain many benefits. Understanding the relationship existing between the employees job performance and the use of social networking site will help the business managers in unraveling the challenge of whether to allow or disallow social networking sites utilization in the workplace. There is an increased number of young employees whose desire to use social networking sites is very high. Since it will prove difficult for businesses to mobilize them to avoid their use (as noted earlier they will devise other means to access them), it is crucial for businesses to exploit this fact and formulate policies aimed at achieving the organizational goals while allowing their use in the firms. If only some businesses will find it useful in accelerating the performance of employees, it will eventually be embraced by many other businesses. This study will be of much benefit to scholars interested in researching on social networks. The management team will have their challenges of whether to incorporate or not being resolved. Conceptual Framework and Research Hypothesis Social networking and traditional word-of-mouth are some of the channels used in receiving and spreading of information. Word-of-mouth traditionally was perceived as the interpersonal communication between people who initially used some products or services and those that are potential users. When people need to make a decision to purchase either a product or service, they consider so many factors so as to choose that which maximizes their utility. Most of the times they rely on ads available on the internet and other times, they rely on the confession of utility derived by others (Charlton, 2015 and Wang, Uesugi, Ting, Okuhara, Wang, 2015). The annual local consumer survey by Anderson (2014), DeMers (2015) and Rudolph (2015) confirmed that the highest proportion of the consumers interviewed had looked for online reviews (specifically, it was noted that the proportion was 88 %). When someone is new to a product, it is difficult to decide which the best quality is (Eaton, n.d.). Cheung and Thadani (2010) noted that the electronic word of mouth is a new form of the traditional word of mouth. This somehow confirms the allegation of its superiority to the traditional word-of-mouth. Advancements in technology have led to a creating of a trading platform where people can buy and sell goods online. These online shoppers are the most interested party in the products reviews and evaluations posted in social Medias. The creation of products and communication of service information is being taken charge by the consumers in the media landscape of today. The sharing of experience and opinions on certain products and services among a multitude of consumers is facilitated by social media such as consumer forums, blogs, review sites and communities (Hennig-Thurau, Gwinner, Walsh, Gremler, 2004). Consumers all over the world are seizing this opportunity. Many studies done on consumers from different countries has confirmed that more than a third of them post information on social media concerning products and services (Insites Consulting, 2011). The information provided by consumers regarding a product or a service is dependent on the level of satisfaction derived. This information could, therefore, take either a positive or a negative form. Bickart Schindler (2001); Nielsen (2012) Ha (2002) noted that the information provided by the previous consumers of products and services on the social Medias influences the purchasing decisions better than the messages provided in traditional marketing. Anderson also noted that higher purchases resulted from positive reviews. Word-of-mouth plays an important role in influencing the consumers purchasing behavior (Cheung and Thadani, 2012). Consumers have the awareness that at times ads are deceptive; they always describe a product to be of high standard and that consumers will derive more utility (Berger, 2016). Due to this fact, consumers always doubt the usefulness of a product or how satisfactory a service is. Their doubts are only cleared when they get information that another consumer enjoyed the use of the product aimed to be purchased or service that was rendered before (Tagrin, 2014). This information could be obtained through the traditional word-of-mouth. This is however not always the case that the people surrounding a potential consumer have used the product or service before. This therefore makes the traditional word-of-mouth less effective. This posed the rationale for the social networking. Every product introduced in the market, may not be new in some other parts of the world, so the inform ation on this product can only be obtained from people where the product was initially introduced. Social networking has facilitated the ability to meet these initial users at lower costs. Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and many other are frequented by millions of users every day. The users are situated in different geographical locations in all countries in the whole world. Most citizens from all over the world rely on social media for socializing. Therefore, social networking increases the coverage of information spread (Dellarocas, 2003; Schindler Bickart, 2005; Hennig-Thurau et al., 2004). The hypothesis for this study will be carried out from the stated problems and the objectives of the research. The research hypothesis to be tested will be as follows. H1: Social networking is not as more persuasive as traditional word of mouth is. HA: Social networking is more persuasive than the traditional word of mouth. Decision Criterion If H1 rejected, meaning that HA is true, we shall conclude that social networking is more persuasive than the traditional word-of-mouth. If it is not rejected, we shall conclude that social networking may be less persuasive than the traditional word-of-mouth. Methodology The collection of data will involve picking off a number of customers and then pick a common business, product or a service. Then, an interview will be carried out to find out how many have searched for a review on the chosen item, and where they obtained the review from if they had already searched for one. The interview will also include the number of reviews that consumers read before they get convinced. The consumers will also be interviewed on whether they trust personal recommendations. A random sample of customers will be picked in Melbourne. This is the state in which am situated and therefore will be time and cost saving. Secondary data will be obtained so as to provide the basis for the literature review. The effects of provision of such information on the purchasing behavior will be carried out. Regression analysis will be done on the collected data to find out the level in which this information influences the purchasing decisions. Organization of the Study This project will be divided into four chapters. This project proposal is the first chapter of the project. It contains information on; the statement of the problem, research objectives/questions, justification of the project, expected research output/outcome, conceptual framework and research hypothesis, and the methodology. The next chapter will be on literature review where both the theoretical and empirical literature on social and traditional word-of-mouth will be considered. The third chapter will be on the research methodology where information provided will be on the research design, study location, population and sample size, sampling strategies, data collection procedure, and the analysis of the collected data. The last chapter will cover the actual data collection, analysis, and interpretation of findings. Conclusions will be drawn and recommendations will be made. After the First Death essays After the first death is a psychological thriller. Patriotism plays a big role in it. The behaviour of some principal figures entirely arises from patriotism. And innocents become victims of it. The story begins with a boy, who kept saying he has a tunnel in his chest. The boy named Ben is the son of a general and thats why he eventually ends up on the bridge and there a bullet caused that tunnel in his chest. It all happened on an old railway bridge. Four hijackers, terrorists, captured a bus full of children under the age six. The hijackers were Artkin, who took charge on this operation, he found Miro and his brother Aniel in a refugeecamp, Miro a sixteen-year-old boy (was he?), who had never known his parents and later also lost his brother, who died before doing his duty and two other men called Antibbe and Stroll. Artkin and Miro reviewed the plan for the last time. They had watched the bus route for weeks. Miros assignment was to kill the driver, his first kill. But when the bus arrived the driver wasnt a man as supposed to be but a girl. The girl was Kate, the niece of the busdriver. When Artkin decides to let the girl live for a while, because she could be useful, Miro was disappointed because he wanted his first death to be perfect, so as they planned it to be and now the first thing went wrong already. Artkin drugged the children with drugged chocolate so they would be asleep. But one child was probably allergic to the drug and died. Of course this wasnt planned but Artkin used it as a warning to the world. Then he went to the van where Antibbe and Stroll were also. He had Miro given the order to watch over the children and Kate and win her confidence. Instead, the behavioral model encourages reinforcement techniques designed to condition the mind and impulses to adopt more rational and functional behavior. As the behavioral model is rooted in the highly testable scientific foundations that B.F. Skinner outlines, it has the benefit of objectivity where other therapeutic processes, namely psychodynamic, have been deemed pseudo-science. For example, when attempting to treat insomnia the psychodynamic would focus on the unconscious problems underlining the occurrences, whereas the behavioral therapeutic model would attempt to modify the behavior of sleeplessness. Specific behavior approaches to insomnia has incorporated implementing conscious relaxation (Jacobson in Cormier & Hackney 199 3), as well as positive visualization, where the client envisions instances that put them in past sleep inducing states. Such techniques have documented effectiveness and have been determined to lower oxygen use, and decrease heart rate and blood pressure (American Medical Association 1996). Therefore, it is obvious that in constructing an identity young people would make use of imagery derived from the popular media. For example, it is becoming increasingly common for young children to have their own television and music systems in their bedrooms whilst also having easy and frequent access to magazines especially aimed at the ‘developing’ child and/or teenager. Such young people would also have a way of accessing the Internet be it at school or sometimes at home. However, it is fair to say that in some instances the freedom of exploring the web could be limited depending on the choice of the parents or teachers. So, if young people have such frequent access and an interest in the media, it is fair to say that their behaviour and their sense of ‘self’ will be influenced to some degree by what they see, read, hear or discover for themselves. Such an influence may include a particular way of behaving or dressing to the kind of music a person chooses to listen to. These are all aspects which go towards constructing a person’s own personal identity. Even though baseball and softball are similar games, the smaller size and weight ofthe ball, the longer pitching distances, base paths and field size and the subtle differences of the game will pose more disadvantages than physical size or ability differences. Fasting blood glucose of 110 mg/dl or above.(Some groups say 100mg/dl) The World Health Organization (WHO) has slightly different criteria for the metabolic syndrome: High insulin levels, an elevated fasting blood glucose or an elevated post meal glucose alone with at least 2 of the following criteria: Abdominal obesity as defined by a waist to hip ratio of greater than 0. 9, a body mass index of at least 30 kg/m2 or a waist measurement over 37 inches. But when it comes to treatment and specifically on life style changes with diet, there are differences of opinion with individual practitioners. Basically the treatment for metabolic syndrome does not have a sure shot formula; it is mostly dependent on patient cooperation.Hence for a practitioner treating a metabolic syndrome person is an art during clinical intervention. When there is a malfunction in insulin producing beta cells of the pancreas, disordered happens in metabolism of carbohydrate, protein and fats.Due to insulin secretion is very low; cells cannot use the glucose to convert into energy. This glucose circulates in the blood till kidneys excrete. Since the body cannot use glucose available in the blood for converting into energy, it has to burn protein and fat available in the body hence fatigue and weight loss occurs. Type-2 diabetes is associated with metabolic syndrome. Due to age factor the pancreatic function is unable to cope with dietary excess and obesity. In some cases its functions diminishes. Hence an Allopathic practitioner will prescribe drugs and suggest for life style cha nges.Naturopathic practitioner will solely depend on intake of diets, natural supplementary diets and life style changes. Those who are not able to handle stress and always with unmanaged abnormal stress, the blood sugar rema ins high and release of insulin from pancreas is depressed. The people who practice meditation and yoga are able to control and manage stress very well.It is noted that the persons who change their total life style inclusive of stress management are able to control diabetes than who only change their diets. Stress disrupts normal eating habits. Carbohydrate, Protein and Fat When carbohydrate diets are taken in complex form it breaks into glucose very slowly in the blood. With the continuous conversion of glucose into energy, the sugar level in the blood remains constant. Hence the requirement for insulin becomes lesser. A high complex carbohydrate diet which is high in fiber and low in protein is better than old recommendations of a low carbohydrate, high protein combination.Low protein diet reduces saturated fats and fibre prevents glucose to from releasing quickly. A calorie level which consists of 70-75% complex carbohydrates, 15% protein and 10-15% fats and oils will ensure very high fibre content and reduces the cholesterol levels. Oats, spelt, corn, barley, peas, beans, fruits and vegetables are rich in carbohydrates. Even some high fibre foods are having high glycaemic rate. Hence these should be avoided. It found effective in an attempt to reduce serum cholesterol and triglycerides in type-2 diabetes when they were administered with fish oils.But subsequently blood glucose levels increased and insulin sensitivity decreased. Hence at this moment Fish oils to be avoided for diabetes. Also further studies should be conducted in this regard for better understanding and solution. Meat has more phosphorus and sodium levels. These things should be kept very low for diabetic. Hence meat should be avoided as a protein source. Moderate exercises improve cholesterol lev els and maintains weight. It increases metabolism, blood circulation and reduces the need for insulin consumption by the body. Fenugreek seeds, dandelion root, Goat’s rue, Blueberries and red gum bark are good for insulin production; strengthen the immune system, cholesterol and triglyceride levels are maintained within acceptable limit. Limitations, Challenges and Further research in metabolic syndrome A single clear solution cannot be arrived because of various factors involved in metabolic syndrome.Even with so much of research in diet for metabolic syndrome, there are differences with practitioners on combination of low and high carbohydrates, proteins and it depends on individuals who have different life style. Further research should give us clear idea of this combination. A common index value to be arrived based on the laboratory findings of triglycerides, HDL, hypertension, abdominal, obesity, glucose intolerance and insulin resistance. Based on that index value a sin gle drug with different combinations to be invented to control metabolic syndrome.Research should be carried towards this direction to avoid many treatment aspects involved in MS. Conclusion Till then it is strongly recommended that public should be educated regarding Balanced Glycemic Index (GI) and Glycemic Load (GL) to help in their diet planning to have a better control on their metabolic syndrome. Jumping Stilt Craze Imagine being able to jump up to nine feet in the air, run up to 25 miles per hour, and be the talk of the whole town. When I first saw these jumping stilts in the Beijing Olympic opening and closing ceremonies I just had to get some to try out. The very next day I began researching about the stilts. I found out that the inventor was a German engineer named Alexander Boeck, the average cost of a pair is around five or six-hundred dollars, and the majority of â€Å"Bockers† in the united states are in the Southwest region. I was so amazed by what would be possible to do in them so I found a dealer in Phoenix, Arizona and bought my Air-Trekkers. FlyingLocust also known as: Air-Trekkers, Fly Jumpers, PowerStriders, Jumping Jacks and Pro Jumps. They are all produced by the same company in China. Medium quality and low price $399. Onc e a budget is realized the next step is to order the stilts. Then in about one to two weeks along comes the shipping man with a large box. In that large box is a brand new pair of jumping stilts. Opening the box very carefully can be a little hard due to the excitement. Once the stilts are out of the box go outside and find a place with a high wall or have a friend to help keep balance. Then walk around until comfortable. After the initial hour or so the average new bocker can walk without the aid of a wall or friend. Be sure to have all the proper safety gear before starting to jump: a helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads. After jumping and walking around for a while be sure to take a break as there is nothing worse than becoming tired and falling. There are many â€Å"Bocking† clubs and dealers in the Southwest region of the United States. One of my favorite clubs is the PowerRaptors. they have dominated most of the competitions here in America and even a few in Europe.
